Who gift wrapping is for
If you sell anything people buy as presents — jewelry, candles, toys, books, homeware, gift baskets — offering wrapping at checkout captures revenue you are currently leaving on the table, and it is a genuine convenience for the shopper buying for someone else. It is especially valuable in the run-up to the holidays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day, and wedding season, when a large share of orders are gifts.
How setup works
After activating the plugin, open its settings, switch the option on, and set your fee and the labels customers see. That is the whole configuration. The gift-wrap checkbox and message field then appear on the checkout page automatically. When a customer ticks it, the fee is added to their order total, and the wrap status and any message are stored on the order and included in the admin and customer emails, so your packing team sees exactly what to do.
